Beginning Wed., Feb. 26, weather permitting, the Office of Stormwater & Green Infrastructure’s contractor, Impetus Infrastructure, LLC, will implement a temporary roadway closure at the intersection of Washington Avenue and S. Derbigny Street to perform waterline repairs for the DPS01 Watershed (Broadmoor HMGP) Drainage Upgrades and Green Infrastructure Project (Phase I).

The City of New Orleans provides an update regarding the ongoing Magazine Street Resurfacing Project. On Tuesday, Feb. 25 (DPW) contractor Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC., will close the westbound lane of Magazine Street between Nashville Avenue and East Drive for paving operations. On Wednesday, Feb. 26, the closure will shift to the eastbound lane. Crews will work between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, keeping one lane open in the direction where construction is not taking place, with the closures being lifted at the end of each workday to allow traffic to resume. Additionally, roadway striping will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28 from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The City of New Orleans today announced that on Thursday, Feb. 20, the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD), will close the left lane of the westbound Pontchartrain Expressway between the railroad trestle and the 17th Street Canal. This closure will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The City of New Orleans announced today that, effective immediately, the Department of Public Works (DPW) will close the Benson Canal Bridge eastbound on Morrison Road. This closure will remain in effect until further notice.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, the Department of Public Works' contractor, Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC, will begin implementing temporary lane closures on Magazine Street between Nashville Avenue and East Drive to mill and resurface the roadway, including both travel and parking lanes. Crews will generally work weekdays between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
